Then position one or both of the chambers atop the power base, insert the plastic paddles in the chambers, lock the transparent tops in place, and turn on the machine. (A switch activates one or two paddles as desired.) Add the ingredients in the chambers through openings in the top as the paddles turn. The chambers chill the ingredients to whatever consistency is desired, though dense treats are hard to make because the paddles churn in air.
